Mohammed Siraj's injury scare leaves India worried
India have been having a torrid time in the ongoing fourth Test match of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy 2025 against the England National Cricket Team.
On Day 1, the star wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant injured his foot while batting, and later it was found out that his right foot was fractured.
Then, on Day 3, India suffered a double injury blow with the star pacers Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj leaving the field in discomfort.
Just after bowling one over with the new second ball, Jasprit Bumrah left the field with an ankle/foot issue. Moments later, Siraj was spotted leaving the field.
After bowling the 99th over of the innings, Siraj was having some trouble with his left ankle, and he hobbled off the field. He was seen climbing the stairs gingerly and was in significant pain.

He twisted his ankle coming down the stairs - Ravi Shastri on Jasprit Bumrah
Speaking on-air, former India head coach Ravi Shastri talked about Mohammed Siraj's bowling partner Jasprit Bumrah and revealed that the pacer twisted his ankle.
"He is shaking his head there. Don’t think he is too pleased. That is the left ankle. He twisted his ankle coming down the stairs," said the former India coach.
"He changed his boots as well. I noticed that when he did bowl that one over, he had a pair of boots that were blue and white, very different to what I see here," legendary Australia skipper Ricky Ponting said.
Ravi Shastri further said that Bumrah got his ankle strapped, which is not a good sign for the pacer.
"He definitely doesn’t look comfortable; that is his landing foot. If he has his ankle strapped, he probably needs a bigger boot size there. Also, what I am hearing now is that although he is out on the field, Bumrah will not be allowed to bowl till after tea. Now that's another big problem, which means India will have to look at spin pretty quickly, and that too Washington Sundar," he added.
Coming back to Mohammed Siraj, the right-arm quick bagged his first wicket in the match by dismissing all-rounder Chris Woakes in the 130th over.
Mohammed Siraj bowled a good length ball angling in on the middle-stump, and it stayed low, caught the toe-end of the bat and rolled onto the stumps to send Chris Woakes packing for 4 runs.
