India’s Squad For The ODI Series Against England Announced, No Place For Mohammed Shami And Ravindra Jadeja

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), announced the Indian squad for the ODI series against England which is all set to begin from March 23. The Indian Cricket Team will take on England in a three-match ODI series, which will begin from March 23 and the final ODI of the series will take place on March 28.

The entire ODI series is scheduled to take place in Pune behind closed doors with COVID cases rising in the state of Maharashtra. The Men in Blue are currently taking on England in the five-match T20 series with the series being levelled 2-2. All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja and Mohammed Shami have not returned to the squad following their exclusion from it in the Test and T20 series against England.

BCCI Announces The Indian Squad For The ODI Series Against England

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced a member squad for the ODI series against England which will take place from March 23-March 28 in Pune. Mohammed Shami, who sustained an injury during the Test series against Australia has returned to the squad and so has all-rounder, Ravindra Jadeja.

India’s ODI Squad For England: Virat Kohli (Capt), Rohit Sharma (vc), Shikhar Dhawan, Shubman Gill, Shreyas, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, Rishabh Pant (wk), KL Rahul (wk), Y Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav, Krunal Pandya, W Sundar, T Natarajan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Md. Siraj, Prasidh Krishna, Shardul Thakur.

The Hosts Go On Level Terms In The Series

The hosts have now gone on equal footings in the five-match series after beating England in the fourth T20I by 8 runs. The final game of the series will now take place on March 20 in Ahmedabad as the number 1 and number 2 teams in the T20I format will battle it out to clinch the series.

The two teams will now engage in a three-match ODI series which is all set to take place from March 23-March 28, entirely in Pune behind closed doors. The hosts had won the four-match Test series to enter the final of the ICC World Test Championship.
