India is one of cricket’s giants, the nation has been one of the greatest teams in the history of cricket and have produced some of the game’s greatest players.

It is the national sport of India, and the Indian Premier League (IPL) is followed by fans all over the world.

They struggled to a bad loss last year in the T10I World Cup to England but will look to bounce back in 2023 across the different formats of the game.

A March test against Australia will be greatly anticipated and the cricket betting has the home side as the favourite over the Australians in the one-day test format.

They are an aging team with some superstars from yesteryear still playing a huge role. It is time for a new direction to be implemented and worked in to keep the country at the top of the game.

Subman Gill

Subman Gill is one of the most talented batsmen of his generation and is highly adaptable to all forms of the game. He made his IPL in 2018 and have been an impressive and quality player in the league.

He was outstanding in the U19 World Cup as well as in the IPL and will be key to the future of the Indian team for years to come.

Avesh Khan

Avesh Kham is one of India’s brightest talents. He is an incredibly talented right-handed fast bowler who is also the highest wicket-taker in the IPL. He is going to have a huge future in the Indian side.

He is a quick seam bowler who can move the new ball consistently and generate extra bounce off the length. He can reach 140 KPH with the ball and has a number of variations to his style.

While not being the finished product he is still seen as one of the best India has produced in some years.

Ishan Kishan

The former U19 captain plays for the Mumbai Indians in the IPL and in 2022 he was the most expensive pick in the IPL auction.

As a left-handed top-order batter and wicketkeeper he first rose to fame in 2016 leading the U19s when they finished runners up to the West Indies. He’s not had the best run of form with the bat recently and will need to improve on this side of the game going forward to live up to the hype around the prodigy.

Ruturaj Gaikwad

Like Gil, Ruturaj Gaikwad made his IPL debut in 2018. He starred for the Chennai Super Kings and has become a huge part of the team. He has built a huge fanbase and is an exciting right-handed batsman who can be a huge star for the Indian team.

Chetan Sakariya

The left-arm medium pacer represents Saurashtra in domestic cricket and was outstanding in the IPL in 2021. His performances in the IPL have given him his opportunities in the Indian team and will no doubt go on to be a huge part of the team for the future.

Sanju Samson

The aggressive batsman can provide a different approach with the bat to a number of India’s other options. Sanju Samson is a fearless, impact player who can score quickly and is a really exciting impact player, especially in the T20 format.

Devdutt Padikkal

The left-handed batter is a classy and confident striker of the ball. He showed great potential in 2017 for the Ballari Tuskers in the Karnataka Premier League and now represents Rajasthan Royals in the IPL.

The 22-year-old is a left-handed batter and also bowls a right-arm offbreak and at 22 years of age can be a big impact player in Indian team for a number of years.

Rajat Patidar

Rajat Patidar is someone seen to be a long-term replacement for superstar Virat Kohli. He scored 861 runs across 31 T20 games where he featured for Madhya Pardesh last year which included seven half-centuries as well as a high score of 96.

Rahul Chahar

Rahul Chahar is one of the best spinners to come out of India in years and is also the cousin of Indian pacer Deepak Chahar.

He made his OPL debut in 2017 for the Rising Pune Supergiants and after his first year was picked up by Mumbai Indians. His performances have made him someone to keep an eye on for a big role in the Indian side across each form of the game.
