Former Pakistan captain Inzamam-ul-Haq is particularly satisfied with Ramiz Raja becoming the next PCB Chairman and hailed him for his knowledge of the game which will be helpful. Ehsan Mani’s tenure as the PCB Chairman is coming to an end and Ramiz Raja met prime minister Imran Khan with an eye on the next PCB Chairman post.

Ramiz Raja has captained Pakistan in the past, and he does know a lot about Pakistan cricket which he has been following closely with his commentary stints as well. He has played 57 Tests and 198 ODIs for Pakistan and he is expected to make good decisions that will strengthen the Pakistan domestic setup and in a way, help Pakistan’s international team as well.

Inzamam-ul-Haq mentioned that Pakistan cricket is lucky to have the services of Ramiz Raja as the next PCB chairman as Ramiz does know the nook and corner of his country’s stature in the game. Inzamam added that the expectations are going to be high on the former captain and expect him to do well.

“It will be good for Pakistan cricket that he is becoming PCB chairman. Of course, there will be high expectations from him being an ex-cricketer. Just like people had hopes from Imran Khan that he is PM, so cricket should get better, it will be the same with Ramiz Raja. He knows the inside out of Pakistan cricket.” Inzamam-ul-Haq told on his Youtube Channel.

Inzamam-Ul-Haq Points Out The Holes In The Pakistan Cricket Board

Inzamam-Ul-Haq reckoned that Ramiz Raja is one of the good guys who will work with more responsibility and wanted Ramiz to work especially on the cricketing structure in the country. Inzamam also added that Ramiz will have to cope up with taking some hard decisions for the benefit of the country’s cricketing stature.

“I hope good people come into the cricket board and become part of the system. Our cricketing structure needs to improve. We are lagging behind in coaching and first-class cricket. To improve Pakistan cricket, Ramiz Raja will have to take hard decisions. As far a I know him, he will not take a backward step,” he added.
