Baroda cricketer Vishnu Solanki can be one of the special player in the upcoming IPL 2021 auction due to his incredible batting performances in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2020/21.

The 28-year-old Vishnu Solanki is a consistent performer for Baroda in every format. But the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2020/21 is a special for him as he has sent strong message to the Indian cricket with his batting performances.

Vishnu Solanki has just finished as the fifth most run-scorer at the end of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2020/21. In this tournament, the right-handed top-order batsman scored 267 runs in 8 innings with an average of 53.40 and strike-rate of 128.36. Though he started this tournament with only 6 and 0 runs, then he played crucial roles with the bat by scoring 42*, 28, 59*, 71*, 12 and 49.

While Baroda finished as the runners-up in the SMAT 2020/21, Solanki even scored 49 off 55 balls in the final match of that tournament. However, he became the headline after his brilliant batting performance helped Baroda to win the thrilling quarter-final against Haryana. He not only scored the match-winning 71 not out off 46 balls, but he also smashed 6, 4 and 6 in the last three balls of the match to finally secure that successful chasing. While they needed five runs on the final ball of that match to win that game, Solanki produced the perfect helicopter shot and scored a sixer to win that game.

After watching him in the recent SMAT season, some of the franchises may put Vishnu Solanki’s name in their special list for the IPL 2021 auction.
