The Australian left-arm fast bowler Mitchell Starc can be a great addition to any franchise he plays and here are three teams that might fight for him in the IPL 2021 auction. Mitchell Starc has always preferred to play for his country and hence to manage his workload in playing all the formats, he has given up on the ideas to play franchise cricket most often. His shearing yorkers have been handy in the past playing for RCB in 2014 and 2015.
The Aussie has a good IPL record with 34 wickets in 27 games so far in the two seasons he played. He can bowl the difficult overs in the front as well as at the end of the innings. He was picked up by Kolkata Knight Riders for a huge 9.4 crores in the 2018 auction but was ruled out due to injury and was released by the franchise later. This will be a great opportunity for him to get back in form by playing IPL where high standards have been set.

Kings XI Punjab
Kings XI Punjab has the highest purse amount of 53.2 crores among all the franchises in the IPL 2021 auction. Punjab has struggled to find a good bowler who can bowl the new ball as well in the death and Mitchell Starc will be a great addition to their team to partner with the likes of Mohammad Shami. Punjab could get the services of Starc for nearly 20 crores as they have a lot of purse amount and any bidding battle will lead in their direction easily.
Royal Challengers Bangalore
Rajasthan Royals
With a purse amount of 34.85 crores, they could battle it out in the IPL 2021 auction for the left-arm seamer from Australia. Mitchell Starc would be hoping to play the IPL 2021 as the experience could help his preparation for the World T20 in India later this year. The IPL 2021 auction is all set to take place on February 18 in Chennai.
