SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH)
During their second match of this tournament, it will be interesting whether SRH continue with Afghanistan cricketer Mohammad Nabi or bring back New Zealand captain Kane Williamson.
In the first game, Jonny Bairstow (55 off 40) and Manish Pandey (61 not out off 44 balls) both scored half-centuries in the unsuccessful 188 runs chasing as most of the other batsmen didn’t perform well in the tough batting pitch. Though some have raised questions about Manish Pandey’s non-impressive strike rate in their first game, there is no doubt that his latest knock will give him huge confidence who just recovered from the injury.
Abdul Samad ended that game on 19 not out off 8 balls, but his performance was too late for the team.
In their IPL 2021 opening match, Mohammad Nabi (2/32) and Rashid Khan (2/24) picked up two wickets each while T Natarajan (1/37) and Bhuvneshwar Kumar (1/45) got one wicket each. While the spinners were in good control with the ball, the pacers disappointed in that match.

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB)
The RCB pacers bowled really well in that game but the spinners, especially Yuzvendra Chahal disappointed in that match with his expensive bowling figures. While Mohammed Siraj (0/22) and New Zealand pacer Kyle Jamieson (1/27) were totally in control with the ball, Harshal Patel was incredible in that game who won the Player of the Match award due to his fifer. While he controlled the death overs, he had bowling figures of 4-0-27-5, which was also the first five-wicket haul for any bowler against Mumbai Indians.
In the 160 runs chasing, captain Virat Kohli secured a good start with 33 runs off 29 balls while Glenn Maxwell impressed with his batting as he scored 39 off 28 balls. AB de Villiers ultimately changed the game with his powerful batting as he scored 48 off 27 balls and just missed out on finishing that game. Ultimately Harshal Patel and Mohammed Siraj finished the game successfully on the final ball of that match.
The return of opener Devdutt Padikkal will make their batting order stronger.
