Rajasthan Royals (RR) came up with a heart-warming gesture for their new teammate Chetan Sakariya to pay tribute to the latter’s late brother. The sweet gesture won everyone’s heart. Chetan Sakariya has done a great job for Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2021 so far.

The young pacer has picked 6 wickets in 3 matches. In the absence of Jofra Archer, Chetan Sakariya has taken the responsibility to lead the pace attack for Rajasthan Royals.

Chetan Sakariya was bought by Rajasthan Royals during IPL 2021 auction. The franchise bought him for Rs. 1.2 crore during the auction. It was great news for the young cricketer who got a chance to debut in IPL.

However, Sakariya has gone through a lot of problems in the personal life recently. Sakariya’s brother committed suicide a few months back when he was playing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2021.

Rajasthan Royals Gifts A Special Jersey To Chetan Sakariya

Chetan Sakariya was very close to his brother and keeping this in mind, Rajasthan Royals gifted him a jersey which has initials of his late brother ‘R.K’ imprinted on it.

The jersey also has a message written on it that says, “Miss you bro”. Rajasthan Royals’ heartwarming gesture to pay tribute to Chetan Sakariya has won everyone’s heart. Chetan Sakariya shared the photo of the jersey on Instagram. Have a look at the photo below.

Chetan Sakariya shined in his debut match for Rajasthan Royals, picking 3 wickets for 31 runs against Punjab Kings. He went wicketless in the next game against Delhi Capitals but again grabbed 3 wickets against Chennai Super Kings in the following match. So far, Chetan Sakariya is the leading wicket-taker for Rajasthan Royals with 6 wickets in 3 matches.

Meanwhile, Rajasthan Royals has gone through turmoil in 3 matches of IPL 2021 so far. Rajasthan Royals have lost two matches against Punjab Kings and Chennai Super Kings. Their only victory came against Delhi Capitals. The Sanju Samson-led side is placed on the 7th spot in the points table.
