Former Indian skipper and the leader of the Chennai Super Kings, MS Dhoni, has delayed his travel back home to Ranchi, as he wants his teammates to depart first.

According to a report, MS Dhoni has informed his teammates that he will be the last person to board a flight back home.

The 14th season of the Indian Premier League was suspended for an indefinite period of time by the BCCI on Tuesday following multiple Covid positive cases across franchises.

Players and support-staff members have started to depart to their respective homes’ and since the tournament was taking place in India, MS Dhoni is of the view that foreign players and support staff should be given the first priority to move out.

“Mahibhai said that he will be the last person to leave the hotel. He wanted foreigners to leave first, then the Indian players. He will be taking the last flight tomorrow when everyone reaches their home safe and secure,” a member of CSK was quoted as saying by Indian Express.
