IPL 2021, Points Table, Orange Cap, Purple Cap

Monday (12th April) was the fourth day of the IPL 2021 where Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) faced each other at Wankhede Stadium (Mumbai) in the fourth game of this tournament. After this match, we will not only start to look at the points table of the IPL 2021, but the fights for the Orange Cap and Purple Cap will now officially start from the next day.

In the first three days of this IPL 14, six other teams started their campaign of this season. The record five-time IPL champions Mumbai Indians (MI), who are the defending champions in this IPL season as they won both the last two IPL tournaments, played the opening game of the IPL 2021 against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). RCB won that tournament opener by two wickets after chasing the 160 runs target on the final ball of that match.

In the second game of this tournament, the IPL 2020 runners-up Delhi Capitals (DC) competed against the three-time IPL winners Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Delhi Capitals started this new season with a victory under their new captain Rishabh Pant as they beat CSK by 7 wickets (with 8 balls remaining) in that game.

In the third match of this season, SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) started their journey in this tournament where KKR won that match by 10 runs.

Now, in the fourth game of this tournament, PBKS beat Rajasthan Royals by 4 runs, where Rajasthan Royals’ new captain Sanju Samson played an inspiring centurion knock.
