IPL 2022: Breaking New - Ravindra Jadeja Gives CSK Captaincy Back To MS Dhoni

In a shocking piece of news, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have seen a change in captaincy once more this season as Ravindra Jadeja has decided to hand over the captaincy to MS Dhoni for the remainder of the IPL 2022 season.

Ahead of the IPL 2022 season, MS Dhoni had shocked the Indian Premier League and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) fans by relinquishing captaincy and Ravindra Jadeja was named the captain of the franchise for the IPL 2022. Many fans and experts were sad to see Dhoni’s leadership rein come to an end.

However, for Chennai Super Kings (CSK), the IPL 2022 began on a poor note as they lost their first six matches in the IPL 2022 and Jadeja’s performance with both the bat and the ball suffered as well.

MS Dhoni Accepts CSK Captaincy Once More

CSK has so far won two matches in all from 8 played thus far and is placed 9th on the points table of the IPL 2022, just above Mumbai Indians who have 8 losses from eight matches as of writing this piece.

However, many people and experts noticed that Dhoni was the one taking decisions regarding field placings as Jadeja patrolled the boundary and one of the best examples of this was his field placing when Kieron Pollard was dismissed against CSK in their recent match.

Jadeja has 112 runs and 5 wickets to his name in the IPL 2022, while MS Dhoni has 132 runs at strike rate of 132.33 and is looking in his old form.

Dhoni has done well with the bat as well and it seems common sense prevailed Chennai Super Kings announced on April 30 that Ravindra Jadeja was handing over the captaincy once more to MS Dhoni for the remainder of the IPL 2022 and Dhoni had accepted the captaincy for the greater good of the franchise.
