IPL 2022: Sachin Tendulkar All Praise For David Miller And Rashid Khan

IPL 2022: Former India captain, Sachin Tendulkar has praised ‘dangerous batter’ David Miller and Gujarat Titans stand-in Captain Rashid Khan for their match-winning performance against Chennai Super Kings on Sunday at the MCA stadium in Pune.

Chasing, 170, David Miller scored 94 runs while Rashid Khan made a quickfire 40 runs off 21 balls to snatch victory out of CSK’s hands.

Gujarat Titans in their reply to 169 made by Chennai Super Kings were down and out at one stage in their chase as they had lost 5 for 78. But then Rashid Khan and David Miller took the game on as they ensured GT doesn’t go out without fighting till the end.

Rashid Khan did get out in the penultimate over, but eventually, David Miller ensured that his team got over the line.

Sachin Tendulkar through his YouTube channel praised both the players. “If Miller’s good phase continues, then he is a very good batter and today he has proved it. He plays most of his game towards mid-wicket. Miller plays good shots through the covers, which means he is absolutely in control”, said Tendulkar in his YouTube video.

Tendulkar praised Rashid Khan as well and said: “Rashid played a fantastic role as he batted with a strike rate of 200. And in the 18th over, he scored 25 runs of Chris Jordan’s bowling, which changed the momentum of the match. GT overall played a fantastic game of cricket, fantastic Miller and Rashid.”

Gujarat Titans are at the top of the points table with 5 wins from 6 games.

Sachin Tendulkar himself is associated with Mumbai Indians who have had a terrible start this season. They have lost 6 matches on the trot. Sachin would be hoping that the fortunes of the five-time champions also change quickly.
