Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) has bid adieu to their head coach Andy Flower just after a few months of the IPL 2023. The former English team coach was part of the team since the team made his debut in the league.
Andy Flower had a decent outing as the coach of the Lucknow Super Giants as the under him team reached playoffs in both seasons but failed to win the title. The Sanjiv Goenka-led franchise had a two-year contract with the former Zimbabwe cricketer.
Lucknow Super Giants confirmed the development on their social media accounts as they post a heartfelt message for Andy Flower, saying that this is not a goodbye as he will always be part of their family.
“Dear Andy, Today it’s farewell, but it’ll never be goodbye because you’ll always be one of our own. Thank you for everything!” Lucknow Super Giants said.

IPL 2024: Lucknow Super Giants in talks with Justin Langer for head coach
As Andy Flower’s contract with the franchise came to an end, it is learned as per the various media reports that Lucknow Super Giants have approached former Australian cricketer Justin Langer for the position of head coach.
LSG management has had quite a few discussions with Justin Langer and if everything goes well, he might be there with the team next year. He has done a staggering job as the under him team did some wonders without star players. He also guided the team to the T20 World Cup 2021 win and also under him Perth Scorchers to three Big Bash League titles in the first four years.
