The IPL 2024 auction is set to take place on December 19 in Dubai. All the 10 teams are gearing up for the mini-auction. They are currently busy with finalizing their retention lists.

Rajasthan Royals are the first champions of IPL. They won the title in the debut edition in 2008. However, they never managed to win the trophy for the second time. In the IPL 2022 season, they ended as runners-up after losing the final to Gujarat Titans.

Rajasthan Royals is led by Sanju Samson, who has led the team for the last few seasons. He is expected to lead the side in IPL 2024 too. In the last season, RR failed to reach the playoffs. In some seasons after the debut edition, RR reached the playoffs. However, they never reached the final except for the 2022 season.

Rajasthan Royals has already transferred and picked one player in their squad. RR has sent Devdutt Padikkal to Lucknow Super Giants. In return, they have picked pacer Avesh Khan in their squad.

RR comprises a strong squad currently. They have mightly batters like Sanju Samson, Jos Buttler, Shimron Hetmyer, and Yashasvi Jaiswal. Among all-rounders, Ravichandran Ashwin and Jason Holder are prominent members.
