The report also mentioned that LSG wanted Mayank Yadav to complete his rehabilitation under them but their request was rejected as he is contracted with the BCCI now. Mayank is one of the few players who are in BCCI's new fast bowling contract.
Mayank Yadav's incredible numbers
Mayank Yadav made his IPL debut in 2024 and picked up 7 wickets in four matches at an average of 12.14 and an economy rate of 6.98. However, he got injured midway and was ruled out of the entire season.

LSG's huge trouble with injuries

Australia's T20I captain Mitchell Marsh has been confirmed to play but will be only available as a batter due to his back injury that kept him out of the ODI series against Sri Lanka and the entire Champions Trophy.
There is a chance that the franchise might sign the bowling allrounder Shardul Thakur for the upcoming season. Shardul has the experience of playing IPL for several years and could fit in perfectly for LSG.
He went unsold in the IPL 2025 auction and might get a late chance for Super Giants. He was also seen to be training at LSG's camp on March 16 which further raises his chances of being available for the franchise.
