Former South Africa National Cricket Team batter Faf du Plessis penned down a heartfelt message after his stint with Royal Challengers Bengaluru ended in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He said that playing at Chinnaswamy Stadium was one of the most electric experiences of his career.
Du Plessis' stint with the Royal Challengers Bengaluru ended after the former South Africa National Cricket Team batter was picked by Delhi Capitals in the auction. The opening batter was picked at his base price of INR 2 crore by the Delhi-based franchise.
He was acquired by the Royal Challengers Bengaluru in IPL 2022 and was named as the captain of the team. The opening batter did a terrific job both as a player as well as captain and was one of the top performers for the team in the last three years.

Faf du Plessis formed a formidable opening partnership with Virat Kohli and was one of the main reasons behind the team making it into playoffs consistently. He played some glorious innings while batting at the top and ensured that he shined at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
As he parted ways with Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Faf du Plessis reflected on his journey with the franchise. He said that during his tenure, he fell in love with the city of Bengaluru and the amazing people of RCB.

He thanked fans for making his journey with the franchise incredible and while taking to his Instagram account, he explained:
"As my chapter close with RCB I want to take a moment to reflect on what an incredible journey this has been. When I joined three years ago, I had no idea how this journey would unfold. But I fell in love with the city of Bengaluru and the amazing people of RCB.
"This place and its people have become a part of who I am, and I’ll carry these memories and the connections I’ve built with me forever. Thank you for making these three years so special. Playing at the Chinnaswamy Stadium has been one of the most electric experiences of my career."

Faf du Plessis spoke about the atmosphere of playing at the Chinnaswamy Stadium and called it magical. He went on to express his gratitude towards fans, teammates, staff, coaches, and owners, saying that it was an honor to be part of the franchise. He explained:
"The energy, the passion, and the support from the fans make it truly one of a kind. Every time I stepped onto that field, the atmosphere was nothing short of magical.
"As I say goodbye, I want to express my deepest gratitude to everyone. The fans, my teammates, the staff, the coaches and the owners. It’s been an honor to be apart of this journey with you. Much love."
