The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is working in full flow to find the best possible way to resume the IPL 2025. As per the reports in PTI, it is learned that the governing body will inform about the revised schedule by late evening or tomorrow at the latest to all the franchises.
The IPL 2025 is reportedly all set to resume around the 16th or 17th of May, with the final now slated to take place on the 30th of May. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), in a day or two, will be announcing the official schedule as franchises have been told to call back the overseas players.
IPL 2025 rescheduling will also hamper a change in the India tour to England
However, if the 30th of May is the final of IPL 2025, then it will also hamper a change in the India tour of England. Although the five-match Test series between the teams is all set to take place from 20th June, the India A tour will face a massive change.
India A is all set to lock horns with England A in a two-match four-day contest. The first match will be played on 30th May, followed by the second game set to be played on June 6 at the County Ground in Northampton.
This means that the first Test of the India A tour is likely to be deferred as a number of A team regulars could be involved in the playoffs and finals. Several reports were there which claimed that the likes of Sai Sudharsan, Devdutt Padikkal, Karun Nair, Shreyas Iyer, and others are all set to be picked for the A team.

IPL 2025 got postponed due to the rising tensions between India and Pakistan
Coming to the IPL 2025, the league was postponed due to the rising tensions between India and Pakistan. The BCCI took the call of suspension after the game between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala was called off.
The game got called off after just 10.1 overs as the fans were evacuated from the stadium. Also, the players of both teams were then brought to Delhi from Dharamsala through a special train as all the flights were suspended due to the tensions between India and Pakistan.
BCCI has asked all IPL teams, except Punjab Kings, to report to their respective venues by Tuesday
There have been reports that claimed that BCCI has asked all IPL teams, except Punjab Kings, to report to their respective venues by Tuesday. It is learned that the governing body has verbally informed the franchises that they will resume the league soon, and travel plans have been shared, too.
Also, Punjab Kings will have a new venue, and their destination will be confirmed soon. This was because Punjab and Dharamsala are near the Pakistan border, and hence, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) doesn't want to take any risk.
