5. Digvesh Rathi- From Obscurity to Stardom
Digvesh Rathi, who caught the attention of the scouts with his impressive performances in the Delhi Premier League, was picked up by the Lucknow Super Giants for his base price of 30 lakh. He was among one of the IPL 2025 breakout stars.
The leg break bowler from Delhi became the go-to spinner of LSG as the season progressed by overtaking experienced leg spinner Ravi Bishnoi.
Rathi picked up 14 wickets in 13 games and was the pick of the bowlers for LSG. Having said that, Digvesh was also in the limelight for his actions on the field.
The young bowler made a name for himself for his unique 'notebook' celebration, for which he was fined 9.37 lakh and also served a one-match ban.

The Indian Premier League 2025 can be termed as a tournament for young spinners, as leg spinner Zeeshan Ansari found a platform to showcase his talent in front of a huge audience.
Ansari was picked up by SRH in the auction for INR 40 lakh and performed decently, although he failed to pick up a lot of wickets due to some poor fielding by the former champions.

Mhatre scored 240 in seven games in the season gone by and was among the top three highest run scorers for CSK. Indian Premier League 2025 was also Mhatre's maiden appearance in T20 cricket at any level.
