Table of Contents
Ahead of the mini-auction, several teams have dared to release some of their very crucial players who have failed to be promising in the last few seasons. The IPL 2026 mini-auction is likely to be owned by two franchises that have the largest purses, with some quirky interference from others.
The IPL 2026 mini-auction will now be an exciting saga with the arrival of some exceptionally talented players like Cameron Green, Liam Livingstone, Andre Russell, Quinton de Kock, Matheesha Pathirana, Jake Fraser-McGurk, and Glenn Maxwell.
Moreover, several teams have many overseas spots left vacant on their side and will be eager to grasp onto these big names. But to make it happen, they would need to have enough funds in their purse.
IPL 2026 Biggest pre-season Trades List
The IPL 2026 pre-season saw some of the biggest trades in the history of the IPL. Several other trade speculations that were in the media could not come true, especially the famous KL Rahul move to KKR or the Washington Sundar move to CSK.
However, CSK traded in Sanju Samson to set in line their hopes for a seasoned Indian wicket-keeper batter for the future in the absence of veteran MS Dhoni. However, in order to bring in Samson, they agreed upon letting go of one of their most veteran boys, Ravindra Jadeja, who to date serves the role of best all-rounder for the Men in Yellow.
Several other big moves marked Mohammed Shami's all-cash deal to LSG and some tactical swaps between the Mumbai Indians and other teams like the Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants for players like Sherfane Rutherford and Shardul Thakur.
