Mumbai Indians bought Arjun Tendulkar during IPL auction 2021. Arjun, who is the son of Indian legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, registered for the auction with Rs. 20 lakh base price. After his name was announced for the auction, Mumbai Indians took no time to grab the young cricketer in their squad. No other team showed interest in Arjun during bidding and Mumbai Indians easily managed to induct the youngster in their team at his base price of Rs. 20 lakh.

Mumbai Indians spent Rs. 5 crores to buy Nathan Coulter-Nile, which was their highest buy. They also went ahead to grab New Zealand pacer Adam Milne in the team, spending Rs. 3.2 crore for him. Along with Arjun, other young players on which Mumbai Indians invested are all-rounders Yudhvir Charak and Marco Jansen. These both players were bought for Rs. 20 lakh. Arjun Tendulkar is just 21 years old at present. He can play for more than a decade and a half in the future. This way he is a good future investment for Mumbai Indians. Arjun may be an inexperienced cricketer at present, but he might turn out to be a promising player in the future. Thus, Arjun Tendulkar stands as a good investment for Indian Indians for the future.

Unlike his father Sachin Tendulkar who was a right-handed batsman and right-arm bowler, Arjun Tendulkar is a left-arm bowler and left-handed batsman. Being a left-arm pacer, Arjun has the ability to get the ball away from the batsmen at an uncomfortable angle. Left-arm bowlers are considered to have an upper hand by creating angles while bowling.
