The IPL 2025 auction sprung a huge surprise at just the start of the second day when the talented batter Prithvi Shaw went unsold in the first round. Shaw entered the auction at a base price of INR 75 lakh but didn't find any buyers unfortunately.

Shaw was in Delhi Capitals till last year and even played eight matches in IPL 2024. However, he had a dip in form and was eventually dropped from the Playing XI. His replacement Jake Fraser-McGurk performed exceptionally well, leaving Shaw no chance of coming back.
