Opting to bowl first in the match, KKR posted a big score of 206/4 on the board, thanks to brilliant batting from Andre Russell, Angkrish Raghuvanshi, Rahmanullah Gurbaz, and Rinku Singh. For RR, Jofra Archer, Yudhvir Singh, Maheesh Theekshana, and Riyan Parag bagged one wicket each.
Defending the total, KKR got in total control by reducing RR to 71/5 before Riyan Parag (95) and Shimron Hetmyer (29) staged a comeback. The match went to the last over, where RR batters couldn't get the job done as Vaibhav Arora nailed a yorker on the last ball to seal a one-run win for his team.
Meanwhile, in the second match, LSG won the toss and elected to bowl first. The decision backfired as Prabhsimran Singh (91), Shreyas Iyer (45), Josh Inglis (30), and Shashank Singh (33) demolished the LSG bowling attack and took PBKS to 236/5.
Chasing the target, Lucknow Super Giants just couldn't get going, and they were restricted to 199/7. Ayush Badoni showed good fight with his 74-run knock, but the rest of the batters failed, and LSG faced a 37-run defeat.
