The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 was host to two games on Sunday (27th April). MI vs LSG was the first game that took place at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, while the second game was DC vs RCB, which took place at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
In MI vs LSG, Mumbai Indians registered their fifth consecutive win of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 as they beat Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) by 54 runs. Asked to bat, the hosts were off to a flying start with the bat as Ryan Rickelton (58) slammed the fastest half-century for the team in IPL 2025 in just 25 balls.
Rohit Sharma also slammed two sixes on the first two balls that he faced as Mumbai Indians had an opening partnership of 33 runs inside three overs. Will Jacks (29) also played a vital hand at three, but the real blitz came from the bat of Suryakumar Yadav (54).
In the end, Naman Dhir (25*) and Corbin Bosch (201) ensured that Mumbai Indians end innings on high as they posted 215 for seven in MI vs LSG clash.
Lucknow Super Giants, in the chase, had a poor start as in-form batter Aiden Markram was back in the hut for nine. Mitchell Marsh (34) and Nicholas Pooran (27) played some big shots and kept their team in the hunt, but couldn't convert the starts into big scores.
Ayush Badoni (35) and David Miller (24) batted well, but Mumbai Indians kept taking wickets at regular intervals. Jasprit Bumrah was the pick of the bowlers as he bagged a four-fer and thanks to heroics, Mumbai Indians bundled out Lucknow Super Giants for 161 to win the MI vs LSG game by 54 runs.
In DC vs RCB, Royal Challengers Bengaluru won their sixth game away from home in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 as they beat Delhi Capitals by six wickets. Asked to bat, the hosts had a decent start to their innings as Abishek Porel (28) and Faf du Plessis (22) batted well on a pitch that looked slow.
They had an opening partnership of 33 runs, but after that, Delhi Capitals lost wickets at quick intervals and were left at 102 for four. KL Rahul (41) scored some crucial runs but finished the innings on a high for his team.
With Delhi Capitals under pressure, Tristan Stubbs (34) came up with a brilliant hand down the order, and his innings powered Delhi to the fighting total of 162 for eight. For RCB, Bhuvneshwar Kumar picked up three wickets.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru had a horrible start to their innings as Jacob Bethell, Devdutt Padikkal, and Rajat Patidar got out early, and they were left reeling at 26 for three. However, after that, Virat Kohli (51) and Krunal Pandya (73*) joined hands and bailed the team out of trouble.
The duo soaked in the pressure and added 119 runs for the fourth wicket to bring Royal Challengers Bengaluru back into the game. Krunal batted till the end while Tim David (19*) finished the job as they beat Delhi by six wickets.
