IPL Points Table, Orange Cap, Purple Cap After MI vs RCB Match 20

MI vs RCB was on the show in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 on Monday (7th April). The 20th game of the tournament took place at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai and it saw Royal Challengers Bengaluru beating the hosts by 12 runs.
Phil Salt fell in the first over for Royal Challengers Bengaluru, but after that, it was carnage from Virat Kohli (67) and Devdutt Padikkal (37). They made a mockery of the Mumbai Indians' bowling lineup, slamming the ball all over the park for their 91-run stand for the second wicket.
Skipper Rajat Patidar (64) also slammed a brutal half-century. He first added 48 runs partnership with Kohli and then later Jitesh Sharma (40*). The Patidar-Sharma duo added 69 runs for the fifth wicket as Royal Challengers Bengaluru posted a massive total of 221 runs on the board.
Mumbai Indians yet, again had a dreadful start to their innings in the IPL. Rohit Sharma (17) and Ryan Rickelton (17) perished early as the hosts lost their two wickets for just 38 runs.
Will Jacks (22) and Suryakumar Yadav (28) added 41 runs for the third wicket, but both of them looked scratchy as Mumbai Indians lost four wickets for 99. However, Tilak Varma (56) and skipper Hardik Pandya (42) titled the game in Mumbai Indians' favor with their brilliant power-hitting.
The duo added 89 runs off just 34 balls to put the opposition under pressure, but both lost their wicket within the span of three balls. With 19 runs needed off the last over, Krunal Pandya picked three wickets to take his team home as Royal Challengers Bengaluru beat Mumbai by 12 runs.

After MI vs RCB Match 20, the Points table remained the same. Delhi Capitals retained their top spot followed by Gujarat Titans at two. Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Punjab Kings are at 3rd and 4th. KKR and LSG are at 5th and 6th with RR, MI, CSK, and SRH following them.
