Three uncapped names in the Irish Team

Ireland cricket named three uncapped players in their squad against the West Indies. Cade Carmichael, right-hand batter and two fast bowlers name Tom Mayes and Liam McCarthy named for the first time in the Ireland squad.

The National selector of the Irish Team, Andrew White, lauds all three uncapped players for showing the skills and ability in their A side against the UAE in April.

"Cade Carmichael has been in the pathway for several years now. His talent, stroke play, and resilience were on full display for the Wolves in April, and his rise over the last couple of years is a real demonstration of how consistent performances - and his ability to adapt his game to conditions - have been recognised with an International call-up,” White stated after selection.

White also praised two young pacers, who also got the maiden call-up, McCarthy and Mayes.
