Kamran Akmal has unleashed a fiery outburst against the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Mohsin Naqvi after the Men in Green suffered yet another embarrassing defeat in the ongoing New Zealand series. In a sensational rant, Kamran Akmal called for Mohsin Naqvi to step down if he can’t pull the Pakistan National Cricket Team out of its disastrous run.
The chaos in Pakistan cricket continues as they suffered a shocking 84-run defeat against New Zealand in the second ODI match, conceding a 2-0 lead in the ongoing three-match ODI series to the hosts after losing the five-match T20I series last month.
This lackluster performance came after the Men in Green’s embarrassing exit from the recent ICC Champions Trophy 2025, leaving fans and former cricketers fuming. Now, Kamran Akmal didn't hold back while tearing into the PCB's top officials, demanding accountability and critical action.

Akmal said that the current leadership in Pakistan cricket has failed to deliver, and it's time to take strong action against them. Their woeful performance has exposed glaring flaws in their strategy and execution, and Akmal’s attack has only fueled the fire over Naqvi’s future as the PCB chief.
Kamran Akmal said on his YouTube channel, “It is shameful. The PCB chairman should think that if he can't control, he should resign and leave. Don't ruin your reputation. If you don't want to do that, then improve the status of the current team.”
Meanwhile, Pakistani bowlers faced a brutal reality check in the second ODI at Hamilton as they were hammered all over the park by Mitchell Hay and Muhammad Abbas. On a pitch offering bounce and swing, Pakistani speedsters failed to capitalize, allowing the Kiwi pair to stage a remarkable recovery.

Despite reducing New Zealand to 132/5, the Black Caps fought back fiercely, with Mitchell Hay smashing an unbeaten 99 and Muhammad Abbas adding a quick 41. Their relentless assault played a key role in New Zealand posting a challenging total of 292/8 against Pakistan.
Analyzing the bowling show, Kamran didn’t hold back in his scathing critique, highlighting the bowlers' lack of discipline with their line and length. He stressed the urgent need for fresh faces in the bowling department, as he feels it is the only solution to the team’s struggles.
Akmal further noted, “If Pakistan bowlers can't bowl on such a turf, where will they deliver? In Asia, they say there is nothing for bowlers. On venues where something is on offer, they don't do anything. Should they play disabled players against us? We don't know where to bowl. It means there should be a change.”
Faheem Ashraf saved us: Kamran Akmal
Pakistan witnessed an embarrassing collapse at 65/6 in the 21st over, but Faheem Ashraf stepped up with a fearless counterattack, smashing 73 off 80 balls to revive the innings. Later, Naseem Shah, who came in as a concussion substitute for Haris Rauf, unleashed a fiery knock of 51 from just 44 balls.
Kamran signed off by saying, “Faheem Ashraf saved us. We don't need runs from Naseem; we need wickets from him. Our batters don't have any idea. When Babar got out, the batting lineup got exposed. I didn't see anyone regret the result, apart from the coach. You are destroying Pakistan's cricket”.
