Indeed, it has been a wedding season in India as many of the famous cricketers have decided to tie the knot with their loved ones in the last three months. The recent addition to it has been India’s premier fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah who had left the squad in the midway of the England test series citing personal reasons and he got married in Goa on March 15.

Family and emotions are more important than anything in this world, and cricketers have been aware of this with the best example being the cricketer’s wives being allowed to travel with them during the cricket tours. Also, Virat Kohli despite being the captain of India had to return home during the Australian tour to take care of his pregnant wife Anushka Sharma which shows the amount of importance the cricketers should show to their families.

Indian leg spinner Yuzvendra Chahal was married to Dhanashree Verma two months back in December 2020. Dhanashree Verma is a Doctor, Choreographer, YouTuber apart from being a dentist by profession. The couple started as a student teacher during the lockdown when Dhanashree was taking online dance classes and later on became close friends.

They broke their wedding news on December 22, 2020, and shared the wedding pictures on Instagram. Chahal is part of the five-match England T20 series in Ahmedabad and will play a crucial part in the upcoming T20 WorldCup for India.

Indian all-rounder got married to his long-time girlfriend Disha Chawla in the month of February while the Indian cricketers took it to Twitter to congratulate the off-spinner. The 31-year-old was part of the test squad in 2016 has played 4 Tests and 1 ODI in his career for India.

He did taste success with the bat scoring a half-century and a century in his short test career. He played the IPL 2020 final for Mumbai Indians against the Delhi Capitals and took an important wicket of the in-form Shikhar Dhawan which changed the course of the game in his team’s favour.

Jaydev Unadkat who has been one of the costliest buys in the 2018 and 2019 auctions married his fiancée Rinny Kantaria in the month of February 2021 after getting engaged in March 2020. They shared the news on Twitter and they were happy to announce it on social media.

Unadkat has played 1 test, 7 ODIs, and 10 T20s for India with 22 international wickets overall in his career and is currently captaining the Saurashtra team in the domestic circuit. He is part of the Rajasthan Royals squad for the upcoming IPL.

All-rounder Vijay Shankar tied the wedding knots with his fiancée Vaishali Visweswaran at the end of January 2021. KL Rahul, Karun Nair, Abhinav Mukund were some of the cricketers who congratulated the 30-year-old on his announcement of the wedding on social media.

Jasprit Bumrah was the latest Indian cricketer to get married as he tied the knot to TV Sports presenter Sanjana Ganesan in Goa on March 15, 2021. Bumrah left the Indian squad after the second test against England due to personal reasons and he utilized the time wisely.

Sanjana Ganesan is an ex Femina miss India competition finalist and has been part of modelling. She has worked during the IPL as a sports presenter which was the opening to the relationship with Bumrah. Bumrah has been the spearhead of the Indian bowling attack over the last three to four years and he will be back in the IPL starting on April 9.
