Notably, Smriti Mandhana and Palash Muchhal were to get married on November 23, but the wedding was postponed after a sudden health emergency involving the cricketer's father, Srinivas Mandhana. Even Palash was also admitted to the hospital due to health issues due to stress.

Through this difficult time, Jemimah Rodrigues has quietly stood by Smriti as her emotional support. When the wedding was first postponed, Jemimah even left her Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) campaign in Australia midway to return home and be with Mandhana during this challenging period.

Earlier, Mandhana shared a note on her Instagram story to address her wedding rumors. She said, “Over the past few weeks, there has been plenty of speculation around my life, and I feel it is important for me to speak out at this time. I am a very private person, and I would like to keep it that way, but I need to clarify that the wedding is called off.”

Mandhana added, “I believe there is a higher purpose driving us all, and for me that has always been representing my country at the highest level. I hope to continue to play and win trophies for India for as long as possible, and that is where my focus will forever be.”
