Jitesh Sharma and his India A team followed the trend started by the senior Indian cricket team during the Asia Cup 2025 in the wake of the Pahalgam terror attack earlier this year in Kashmir.
This began when India’s T20I captain, Suryakumar Yadav, skipped pre-match and post-match handshakes with Pakistan during the Asia Cup.
The women’s team followed the same stance at the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025. Now, the India A squad has carried forward the same message, showing support for the victims of the tragic Pahalgam terror attack. But this was just the beginning.
