'Kabhi toh run bana': Sanju Samson declared 'useless' after failing in 2nd T20I against Bangladesh

Sanju Samson has thrown away yet another chance to impress the team management and cement his place in the Indian T20I team.
While the wicketkeeper-batsman has been a regular in India's limited-overs squads in recent times, he has not really managed to get regular chances in the playing eleven, especially in T20Is. However, he got a golden opportunity to make an impact in the shortest format of the game after being named in the squad for the ongoing series against Bangladesh.
With Rishabh Pant rested for the series, Sanju Samson has been the preferred wicketkeeper but the Kerala star has not really managed to impress so far. In the first T20I when India were chasing a modest total of 128 runs, he had all the time in the world to play a big knock.
He did get the start but failed to convert it into a big score and was out for 29 runs. And on Wednesday (October 9), Sanju Samson failed to get going with the bat once again in the second India vs Bangladesh T20I.
The right-handed batsman started his knock on a promising note by hitting spinner Mehidy Hasan Miraz for two fours in the very first over. However, he lost his wicket in the very next over. On the final ball of the second over bowled by pacer Taskin Ahmed, Sanju Samson miscued his shot straight to the fielder at mid-off.
It was a slower delivery from Taskin and Sanju Samson decided to go for a drive. However, he was deceived by the pace and ended up hitting the ball straight to Najmul Hossain Shanto. And as soon as Shanto took the catch, Samson's critics decided to take shots at him for yet another failure.
Here are some of the reactions to Sanju Samson's poor outing with the bat:
If Sanju Samson keeps wasting the opportunities, fans will have to trend 'Justice for Team India' soon.

Really disappointed with Sanju Samson. He had a great opportunity to prove himself and secure his spot in the team. He started well in the last game, but he failed again today. He needs to realize that consistent performances are what will compel the management to keep him in the… pic.twitter.com/0TfBQPFPI8

Useless
Talking about the game, India were on 30/2 in the fifth over at the time of writing this report. Captain Suryakumar Yadav and Nitish Reddy were batting in the middle for the home side. After Samson's departure, his opening partner Abhishek Sharma also failed to do well with the bat. Sharma was clean bowled by Tanzim Hasan Sakib for 15.
