Former Pakistan cricketer Kamran Akmal has shared his views on Babar Azam's father taking to social media to hit out at his son's critics.
Azam Siddique, father of the former Pakistan captain, recently took to Instagram to slam his son's critics. His reaction came after the Pakistan Cricket Board dropped Babar Azam from the T20I squad for the upcoming five-match series against New Zealand.

Babar removed from Pakistan's T20 squad
The big call in the wake of Pakistan's humiliating exit from the ongoing ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
Despite being the defending champions and the hosts, Pakistan failed to progress ahead of the group stage. In fact, they could not even register a single victory.
The Mohammad Rizwan-led side lost the games against New Zealand and India before its last group game against Bangladesh was washed out.
Babar Azam has been facing criticism for his performance for over a year now and his dismal display in the Champions Trophy coupled with Pakistan's unceremonious exit only made things worse for him.
While he scored 126 runs in two innings, he still faced severe criticism for his strike-rate. In the first game against New Zealand when Pakistan were chasing 321 runs, he scored 64 but played 90 balls. In the second game against India, he scored 23 runs off 26 balls.
Babar Azam's father warned former players
With Babar Azam getting slammed from all quarters, his father decided to hit back at the critics. Azam Siddique took to Instagram to slam the PCB as well as Babar's critics, writing:
"Boss is Always Right. Member of ICC's T20I of the year team and even after getting the cap, he is dropped. It is okay. He will perform in National T20 and in PSL. Insha Allah, he will come back in the team soon after performing.
"They are very big former players. They are requested to keep their words right. If someone answers back, they may not be able to tolerate. You are the past and the door will never open," he wrote before adding more as he launched a scathing attack.
Kamran Akmal responds:
While Kamran Akmal has not criticised Babar Azam's father for his comments, he did say that the situation could have been avoided.
"We want to see his career flourish, and he has also performed for Pakistan. Some just speak, while some fathers leave it to Allah. That’s all I will say," Kamran Akmal stated.
"As far as T20Is are concerned, there is no doubt about his performance, but if he develops himself according to the modern-day game, it will be even better for Pakistan. It will be good for him as well as for Pakistan. Babar should understand these things himself," added Kamran Akmal before reiterating that fathers and brothers of the players should not post on social media.
Kamran Akmal speaks about Babar Azam’s father posting on Instagram. He says it’s an insult to the PCB and he shouldn’t be posting such stuff to defend Babar 🇵🇰🤯
