New Zealand National Cricket Team player Kane Williamson has named the greatest player of this century. The right-hander ignored India National Cricket Team batter Virat Kohli and instead picked Sachin Tendulkar, who is known as the God of cricket.
Kane Williamson's comments came during an interaction with ESPNCricinfo. The New Zealand National Cricket Team batter was asked to name the greatest cricketer of the 21st century. He didn't take much time to name Sachin Tendulkar. The former India skipper is arguably the best batter to have played the game.
Sachin Tendulkar is one of the reasons why a majority of the current players have picked up the bat
Sachin Tendulkar is one of the main reasons why a majority of the current players have picked up the bat. The likes of Virat Kohli, Kane Williamson, and others all idolize him, and the kind of impact that he made was something that the majority of the batters have failed to do even though he retired one decade ago.
Sachin Tendulkar played for India over a long period of 24 years. He was extremely successful in all those years as he helped the team register some of the famous wins in ODIs and Tests. The batter also won the 2011 World Cup and then finally ended his career in 2013.
In his illustrious career spanning 24 years, Sachin Tendulkar mustered 34,357 across the formats to go with 100 centuries. The 2011 World Cup winner etched his name in almost every record book. Some of the records that he created are still unbroken and look out of reach for many who are there.

“Personally, my most memorable moment would be the inaugural (World) Test Championship final that we (New Zealand) were involved in."
