India star Sanju Samson's father, Viswanath, has taken another shot at the Kerala Cricket Association (KCA) as he has accused them of 'plotting conspiracy' against his son. Viswanath has gone all out against KCA ever since his son was omitted from the Kerala squad for the Vijay Hazare Trophy.

Reports revealed that KCA took the big call after Sanju Samson did not attend a mandatory preparatory camp. Later, KCA president Jayesh George criticized the batsman as well for his role in the entire drama. George claimed that Sanju Samson had only himself to blame after withdrawing from the camp with just a one-line text message.

However, Viswanath is not at all impressed with KCA's decision and their president's recent comments against his son. Samson senior has doubled down on the association and has accused them of tarnishing his son's reputation.

A worried Viswanath has also said that KCA could use Sanju Samson as a scapegoat for any wrongdoings. He also urged the other state associations to give his son a chance to represent them.

"I knew about six months ago that they are planning something against Sanju. KCA were plotting things in a way that he left Kerala. We couldn't fight with them. There are directors there. You can't talk back to them, you can't challenge them. My child is not safe.

"They will put the blame on Sanju for everything and people will believe them too. So I really want that my son stops playing cricket for Kerala. If any state wants to give my son a chance, saying 'Sanju, come and play for us', I am willing to make that appeal," Samson Viswanath told Sports Tak.

Viswanath defends son Sanju Samson:

Speaking further, Viswanath defended his son, saying that he is just an individual against a 'big, powerful association'. He stated that KCA might come up with some conspiracy theories against his son in the coming days. He also made it clear that he has no intention of seeing his son represent KCA again in the future.

"Sanju is only an individual, whereas the KCA is a big, powerful association. I am afraid they'll come up with conspiracy theories against my son. I don't know why they are after us. We didn't do anything wrong to them or anyone else for that matter.

Sanju, in his life, has never enjoyed anything else apart from cricket. Except for cricket ground and practice, he has focused on nothing else. He has devoted 30 years of his life to cricket, but he is being isolated now. I have had enough; want to get him out of this association (KCA)," said Viswanath.

Meanwhile, Sanju Samson represented Team India on Wednesday (January 22) when the Men in Blue locked horns against England in the 1st T20I at the Eden Gardens. While Samson could not score big in the game, he did give India an explosive start.

With India chasing 133 runs, Samson smashed Gus Atkinson for 22 runs in the second over before departing for 26. India went on to win the game by 7 wickets. The second T20I of the five-match series will be played on Saturday (January 25) in Chennai.
