Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will be up against the defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the 25th match of IPL 2025 on April 11 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai.

Chennai Super Kings are struggling to find the right combination in the ongoing season and have been found wanting in all three departments of the game

Kolkata Knight Riders, on the other hand, has had a topsy-turvy season so far and will take on Chennai Super Kings after losing a last-over thriller against LSG at Eden Gardens.

KKR Playing 11 vs CSK- IPL 2025, Match 25:

Openers: Quinton de Kock (wk), Sunil Narine

South African wicketkeeper batter Quinton de Kock will open the batting for the Kolkata Knight Riders along with Sunil Narine. The left-hander played a timely innings of 97 runs against RR to help the team register its first win of the season.

Sunil Narine, who will partner Quinton de Kock at the top of the order, will look to play his natural game against the Chennai Super Kings

Middle-order: Ajinkya Rahane (c), Venkatesh Iyer, Rinku Singh, Angkrish Raghuvanshi, Andre Russell, Ramandeep Singh

Ajinkya Rahane, who is coming into the match after scoring a breathtaking half-century against LSG, will look to carry his form against Chennai Super Kings with the motive of providing much-needed momentum to the team with his attacking approach

Ajinkya Rahane will expect to get good support from the middle-order batters, which includes the likes of Venkatesh Iyer, Angkrish Raghuvanshi, Rinku Singh, and power hitters Andre Russell and Ramandeep Singh, which they failed to do in the final five overs against LSG

The three R's of Kolkata Knight Riders, Russell, Rinku, and Ramandeep, would be itching to get a hit in the middle against the Chennai Super Kings

Bowlers: Harshit Rana, Vaibhav Arora, Spancer Jhonson, Varun Chakravarthy

Kolkata Knight Riders would hope for their fast bowlers to put on a better display of bowling than what they did in the last match against LSG at the Eden Gardens, with the trio of Harshit Rana, Vaibhav Arora, and Spencer Johnson going for plenty of runs in the match.

Having said that, one cannot read much into the bowling performance of Kolkata Knight Riders, taking into account the short boundary, which was less than 60 meters on one side of the wicket

KKR have a good range of fast bowling at their disposal with the likes of Harshit Rana and Vaibhav Arora, both of whom have picked up wickets at crucial intervals for the team and will look to do the same in the upcoming match against the Chennai Super Kings

Harshit and Vaibhav will be assisted by Andre Russell, who has a reputation for picking wickets while bowling in the last five overs of the innings and has provided crucial breakthroughs for KKR over the years.

KKR also have the option of choosing between Australian fast bowler Spencer Johnson and Moeen Ali, depending on what kind of conditions will be on offer in Chennai

The spin department of KKR will be handled by the experienced pair of Varun Chakravarthy and Sunil Narine, who will play a crucial role for KKR in deciding the outcome of the match
