The conversation between Mumbai Indians (MI) opener Rohit Sharma and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) coach Abhishek Nayar went viral on social media. However, the Kolkata Knight Riders deleted the video of the chat between Rohit Sharma and Abhishek Nayar from social media.

The Kolkata Knight Riders will take on the Mumbai Indians at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Saturday, May 11. The Shreyas Iyer-led team emerged as winners when they last played against the Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

Rohit Sharma came in as an impact player during the previous match between the two teams. The veteran opener scored 11 runs off 12 balls, including one six, before being dismissed. Nonetheless, the 37-year-old has good memories of playing at this venue and aims to play a memorable knock.

Mera Toh Last Hai - Rohit Sharma

Before the match between MI and KKR, Rohit Sharma caught up with Abhishek Nayar, and their conversation has grabbed attention. Rohit expressed displeasure with the changes at Mumbai Indians over the past few months. He hinted at his final stint with Mumbai in the tournament.

“Ek ek cheez change ho raha hai... (Everything is changing one by one). Woh unke upar hai, main ye sab pe dhyaan nahi data... (It depends on them, I don't care about that)," Rohit said.

“Jo bhi hai woh mera ghar hai bhai, woh temple jo hai na maine banwaya hai. (Whatever it is, it's my home. It's a temple that I've built),” he added.

Hardik Pandya Named MI Captain Ahead Of IPL 2024

Rohit Sharma was removed from MI’s captaincy last year despite guiding the team to five titles in the tournament. Rohit was appointed as captain in the middle of the 2013 season. All-rounder Hardik Pandya, who joined the team in a trade deal ahead of the IPL 2024 auction, was named captain.

The Mumbai team has struggled under Hardik's captaincy in the ongoing tournament. The Hardik Pandya-led team is currently in ninth place in the points table, having secured only four victories out of 12 matches played. MI became the first team to be eliminated from playoff contention.

Earlier this week, reports suggested that senior players, including Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, and Suryakumar Yadav, expressed their concerns regarding Hardik Pandya's captaincy. Additionally, a few players engaged in discussions with the higher management to discuss changes in strategy and approach.
