Kumar Kushagra Bought By Gujarat Titans For INR 65 lakh at IPL Auction 2025

Kumar Kushagra has registered himself for the IPL 2025 mega auction at the base price of INR 30 lakh. The 20-year-old is a wicketkeeper-batsman.
He has represented India at the Under-19 level and plies his trade for Jharkhand in domestic cricket. Kushagra has played 22 first-class games so far and has scored 1471 runs with the help of three centuries and four half-centuries.
In 23 List A games, the wicketkeeper-batsman has scored 700 runs including 7 half-centuries while in 15 T20s, he has scored 143 runs. He was a part of the Indian team for the 2020 Under-19 World Cup.
Kushagra grabbed the attention of the Indian cricketing fraternity in 2022 when he scored a double century against Nagaland in the Ranji Trophy at the age of just 17. In 2023, he finished the Deodhar Trophy as the sixth-highest run-scorer. He also impressed in the Vijay Hazare Trophy.
After his impressive exploits, he earned his maiden IPL contract from Delhi Capitals in 2023. The Delhi-based outfit signed up the player for a whopping amount of INR 7.2 crore. In IPL 2024, he played four games but failed to impress as he managed to score only 3 runs.

Gujarat Titans have signed up Kumar Kushagra for INR 65 lakh. Chennai Super Kings made the first bid before Punjab Kings entered the race. Gujarat Titans soon joined the race as well and made the winning bid.
