I Don't Think I Have Ever Been So Fearful - Kyle Jamieson on Vaibhav Sooryavanshi
Kyle Jamieson spoke about dismissing teenage batter Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and admitted it felt like a tough challenge. Jamieson said that he felt relieved after his plan worked and gave Delhi Capitals an early breakthrough.
"I don't think I've ever been so fearful of a 15-year-old kid in my life. But yeah, we have obviously done a bit of planning leading into the game, and it was just nice that it paid off," Jamieson said.
Starc made a strong return in the IPL with a three-wicket haul against Rajasthan Royals. Yashasvi Jaiswal and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi fell early, but Riyan Parag and Dhruv Jurel added 109 runs for the third wicket. Parag scored 90, while Donovan Ferreira finished with a quick 47 to take the total to 225/6.
It Was Nice to Get it Away Early and Sort Of - Kyle Jamieson
Kyle Jamieson added that the Rajasthan Royals depend heavily on their openers for fast starts in the power play. The fast bowler said that he and Mitchell Starc focused on removing them early to control the game. He was satisfied that his yorker helped slow Rajasthan’s momentum.
"For most teams looking at Rajasthan's side, it's their top two especially have got them off to fliers and Starc-y got one with the old high full toss and I got one with the yorker so it was nice to get it away early and sort of, I guess stem the flow a little in the powerplay".
He's World Class - Kyle Jamieson Lauds Mitchell Starc
Mitchell Starc has strengthened the Delhi Capitals' bowling attack at a key stage of the tournament. Kyle Jamieson said that having a world-class player like Starc helps the team, especially as they try to climb the points table. He added that playing alongside the experienced pacer feels special.
"He's world class, right? So whenever you can have one of those guys in your squad, it's you know, a huge benefit so came at the right time. We sort of needed to get a bit of a move on, on the points table. So nice to have him and yeah, it's pretty surreal".
