Lanka Premier League 2021 Schedule, Live Telecast In India, Squads, Live Streaming Details, Team List

Sri Lanka’s franchise T20 cricket league Lanka Premier League 2021 is set to commence on December 5, 2021. This is the second edition of Lanka Premier League. In the inaugural edition that took place in 2020, Jaffna Stallions won the title after defeating Galle Gladiators in the final.

During Lanka Premier League 2021, a total of 24 T20 games will take place during the tournament. There are 5 teams part of the tournament namely Jaffna Kings, Dambulla Giants, Kandy Warriors, Colombo Stars, and Galle Gladiators. The tournament will take place in a double-round robin format. Hence, each team will face the other team twice. During the league stage, each team will play a total of 5 matches.

In the opening game on December 5, Galle Gladiators and Jaffna Kings will battle against each other. The final match will take place on December 23. Due to covid protocols, only 2 venues in Sri Lanka are going to host all the matches.

R.Premadasa Stadium in Colombo and Mahinda Rajapaksa International Stadium in Hambantota are the two venues that will host the matches of Lanka Premier League 2021. All the league stage matches will take place at R.Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. All the playoff games are scheduled to take place at Mahinda Rajapaksa International Stadium in Hambantota.
