The women's latest T20I rankings have been changed after the performances of teams in the ongoing Women's T20 World Cup 2024 in the UAE. South Africa women's captain, Laura Wolvaardt, has moved up two spots to claim the third position among T20I batters after impressive batting displays.
A total of 10 teams are currently competing for the coveted Women's T20 World Cup 2024. New Zealand Women and England Women are leading the table in their respective groups in the tournament. New Zealand Women, England Women, and Australia Women are undefeated teams in the event.
Laura Wolvaardt Secures Third Place In Women's T20I Batter Rankings
Laura Wolvaardt is the leading run-scorer at the tournament with 101 runs in two innings. Wolvaardt climbed two rungs to reach third in the latest T20I batting rankings. Australia batters Beth Mooney and Tahlia McGrath remain at the top, but Wolvaardt is coming close to the top rank among batters.
Several players have also improved their rankings in the latest update. South Africa's Tazmin Brits climbed two spots to reach sixth place, while New Zealand's Suzie Bates moved up to seventh. Team India captain Harmanpreet Kaur jumped four places to tie for twelfth after scoring 29 not out against Pakistan.
England opening batter Danni Wyatt-Hodge moved up two spots to equal 18th, while Pakistan veteran cricketer Nida Dar climbed three places to reach 37th. Scotland's Sarah Bryce improved by two spots to 41st, and South Africa's Marizanne Kapp jumped six places to 44th among batter rankings.
Sophie Ecclestone Retains Top Spot In Women's T20I Bowler Rankings
The competition for the top spot in the T20I bowler rankings is as tight as ever. England bowler Sophie Ecclestone (762 points) retains a narrow lead after taking two wickets against South Africa. Meanwhile, Pakistan cricketer Sadia Iqbal (754) moved up one position to claim second place in the rankings.
Sadia Iqbal has taken four wickets in two matches at the T20 World Cup. Sarah Glenn from England moved up to third, Ash Gardner from Australia climbed to sixth, and Bangladesh's Rebeya moved up to ninth. Fast bowler Megan Schutt jumped nine spots to secure the tenth position in the bowler rankings.
South Africa's Nonkululeko Mlaba is the leading wicket-taker in the tournament, with five wickets in two matches at an average of 10.20. Rosemary Mair from New Zealand is in second place with four wickets in one match. Arundhati Reddy is the leading wicket-taker for India with four wickets in two games.
Hayley Matthews Retains Top Spot In Women's T20I All-rounder Rankings
Hayley Matthews, the captain of the West Indies, continues to lead the T20I all-rounder rankings. Amelia Kerr from New Zealand has moved up one spot to reach third place, while Marizanne Kapp has climbed two places to finish seventh.
