Rohit Sharma nearly missed out on a century on the second day of the ongoing second Test against England when Anderson sent the former back to the pavilion with a peach of a delivery. Until that delivery, Rohit did not put a foot wrong and scored 83 runs off 145 balls, including 11 fours and a six. Ahead of the England Test series, there were question marks over his proficiency as an opener in overseas conditions.

Rohit Sharma has wreaked havoc in all the Test series he played as an opener at home since making his comeback in Test Cricket. However, if he could replicate similar performances in SENA countries was something to debate.

He was ruled out from the Test series in New Zealand with a calf injury and also missed the first two Tests of the Border-Gavaskar Series 2020-21. However, Rohit batted with utmost grace in the remaining two Tests. And, given how he has been batting in the ongoing Test series in England, Rohit Sharma is certainly putting all the doubts over his overseas struggles to rest.

The Indian opener would be keen to continue his fine form and make a telling contribution in the series. In this article, we look at Rohit Sharma’s highest scores in Tests away from home:
