Lockie Ferguson, Jason Roy among T20 stars set for ILT20 debut as new signings revealed

Lockie Ferguson, Fakhar Zaman, Shai Hope, Romario Shepherd, Jason Roy, and Ibrahim Zadran are among the top names set to make their debuts in the International League T20. These international stars have been signed by various franchises for the next edition of ILT20 in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The third edition of the International League T20 is set to take place in the UAE from January 11 to February 9, 2025. Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Sharjah will host 34 matches in the T20 tournament. The Gulf Giants won the inaugural edition, while MI Emirates secured victory in the most recent season of the event.
Lockie Ferguson To Play For Desert Vipers
England all-rounders Gus Atkinson and Tom Curran are set to return to the ILT20. Atkinson, who made his Test debut this year, will join the Sharjah Warriors, while Curran will play for the Gulf Giants, who won the first season. Both players previously competed for the Desert Vipers in the ILT20.
Lockie Ferguson recently declined his national contract and has joined the Desert Vipers for the ILT20 2025. Ferguson will play for the Sydney Thunder in the Big Bash League (BBL) until early January. The fast bowler will then join the Desert Vipers for the ILT20, which will begin on January 11 next year.
Adam Milne, who also rejected a New Zealand central contract, will join the Sharjah Warriors. He will reunite with Tim Seifert, who previously declined his domestic contract with the Northern Districts to pursue T20 opportunities. Seifert is currently playing for the St. Lucia Kings in the CPL 2024.
New Zealand fast bowler Scott Kuggeleijn will rejoin the Dubai Capitals for the upcoming ILT20 season. Shai Hope, who debuted for the Delhi Capitals in the IPL earlier this year, will play for the Dubai Capitals in the ILT20 2025. Hope is currently leading the Guyana Amazon Warriors in the CPL 2024.
Romario Shepherd To Join MI Emirates
Romario Shepherd will join MI Emirates, where he will team up with Kieron Pollard and Dwayne Bravo. Shepherd previously played for the Mumbai Indians in the IPL and MI New York in the MLC. Italy’s Thomas Draca, who played in the Global T20 Canada 2024 season, will also play for MI Emirates.
