Maa kasam khao nahi paltoge iss decision seh - Yuzvendra Chahal
The post shared on Chahal's Instagram story featured a Delhi High Court ruling about alimony payments. The post featured a quote attributed to the court that read: "Financially independent wife cannot demand alimony. Alimony is given for social justice, it’s not a tool for enrichment."
Yuzvendra Chahal shared the post with a hilarious caption: "Maa kasam khao nahi paltoge iss decision seh," accompanied by laughing emojis.

For the uninitiated, Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree's divorce was finalized on March 20, 2025, at the Bombay High Court, following their separation in June 2022, just months after they tied the knot in December 2020.
Along with the divorce, the alimony amount paid by the cricketer also garnered a lot of attention. According to reports, Chahal agreed to pay an alimony of Rs 4.75 crore to Dhanashree after the divorce was finalized.
During the final court hearing, the out-of-favor India spinner also took a dig at Dhanashree by wearing a t-shirt with "Be Your Own Sugar Daddy" written on it.
We reached a point of no return: Yuzvendra Chahal
Soon after the divorce was finalized, Chahal opened up about his failed marriage with Dhanashree. Speaking on YouTuber Raj Shamani's podcast, Chahal had said that the couple had reached a point of no return and divorce was the only way forward.
"It was going on for a long while. We decided we do not want to show the people. Who knew if it did not happen? Maybe it will become a different scenario. We were like until we reached a point of no return, we are not going to say anything. We will be like a normal couple on social media," Chahal revealed.
"A relationship is like a compromise. If one gets angry, the other has to listen. Sometimes the nature of two people does not match. I was playing for India, she was also doing her. This was going on for 1-2 years. At that point, I was so much into it, I had to give time here, give time there. I was not able to think about the relationship."
