Varma, during that game, struggled to get going. He failed to time the ball, and as a result of that, he was called back by the team management ahead of the last over. The left-hander was batting on 25 off 23 balls when Mitchell Santner was called in place of him.
However, after that, Varma made a staggering comeback. The Mumbai Indians batter slammed Challengers Bengaluru and Delhi Capitals. While his first knock went in vain, the latter innings helped the Hardik Pandya-led side seal their second win of the season.

Tilak Varma is the second-highest run-scorer in IPL 2025 for Mumbai Indians. The Southpaw has slammed 210 runs from five innings at an average of 42 and a strike rate of 143.83. He would be keen to carry on his golden form and help his team win.

The franchise is currently stationed at the 7th on the points table. After the win against Delhi Capitals, they would now want to create a winning streak and go to the top half of the table.
