Former Team India batter Manoj Tiwary heaped praise on Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, who registered his maiden T20I half-century for the India National Cricket Team against Zimbabwe in the first match of the ongoing 3-match away T20I series in Harare.
Vaibhav Sooryavanshi claimed the half-century at the age of only 15, breaking Sachin Tendulkar's record, who got his first fifty for the national side at the age of 16. Manoj Tiwary stated that he was impressed by the dedication, hunger, and will to score runs during Vaibhav's batting.

Ahead of the second T20I against Zimbabwe, the former India cricketer said that they have been watching a future superstar in the making since Vaibhav Sooryavanshi's debut for the Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2025.
After making his IPL debut, there was no turning back for the Bihar-born batter. Back-to-back successful IPL seasons on an individual basis, credible outings for the domestic cricket team, memorable knocks for the Indian Under-19 team, and finally the national cricket team call-up.
Within a time frame barely covering a couple of years, Vaibhav's rise in international cricket is like the emergence of a meteorite.
"What I see in him is the hunger, dedication, and wanting to do well. The desire is there to score in every innings. It's a moment of joy and a celebration as well, and many congratulations to him and to his family members and to his coach as well, and all Indian fans as well," Manoj Tiwary said through a PTI video.
"Just that from last year itself, the way he started in IPL, this year also, the way he dominated throughout the IPL, we all got to know what he is capable of doing and I was a little surprised that he didn't get a start in Ireland series where he was not made to play in the first two games but eventually got his opportunity against England," he added.

Manoj Tiwary noticed that whenever Vaibhav was dismissed early in an innings, he looked extremely disappointed. This shows that the batter feels the hunger to score runs in every match he walks out into the middle, whether it is for India or Rajasthan Royals.
"So, it showed a lot of talent, pure talent, and what I see in him is the hunger, dedication, and wanting to do well. The desire is there to score in every innings when he goes into bat, and when he gets out, we all see how disappointed he gets. Literally, he cries while coming out from the 22 yards to the dressing room. A super talented kid," Manoj continued.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi is expected to continue in the playing eleven for the second match against Zimbabwe after securing the record-breaking half-century in the previous match.
