In a surprising event in Pakistani cricket, a new documentary has been released on the rise of Sahibzada Farhan. Zero Studios has released a special documentary series titled “Hero in the Making,” which shows Sahibzada Farhan’s journey from the small streets of Charsadda to becoming one of Pakistan’s most talked-about performers.

This documentary was a tribute to Farhan after his strong performance against India in the Asia Cup 2025, where he was the leading run-scorer for Pakistan. The documentary, which was already released on November 15, takes viewers through every stage of Farhan’s life.

It shows how the right-handed batter started playing with tape balls and tennis balls, simply because his hometown didn’t have proper grounds or training facilities. It also reveals that Farhan didn’t begin as a batter at all, but he actually trained as a fast bowler before finding his true identity with the bat.

The documentary also highlights how he made his domestic T20 debut at just 17. But the real turning point in his career came through first-class cricket, where he became a consistent performer. Over nine years from 2016, he scored more than 4500 runs at an average above 45.

However, the 29-year-old’s journey was far from smooth. Farhan made his T20I debut at the age of 22 against Australia in 2018 but was dropped after only three matches. He didn’t get another chance to play for Pakistan until 2024. However, his patience finally paid off.

Sahibzada Farhan’s rise after Pakistan comeback

Farhan made a strong comeback after shining in the 2025 National T20 Cup, where his performances were so good that the selectors simply couldn’t overlook him anymore. That tournament played a major role in earning him a recall to the Indian cricket team.

His performance against India in the recent Asia Cup 2025 has boosted his reputation as a reliable batter. Alongside the documentary series “Hero in the Making,” Farhan’s growing popularity has led to a new collaboration as well.

Meanwhile, Sahibzada Farhan is enjoying the best form of his career, and he has now achieved something no Pakistani player ever managed in T20 cricket. On Saturday in Rawalpindi, Farhan blasted an unbeaten 80 off 45 balls against Sri Lanka in Match 3 of the Tri-Nation T20 Series.

Pakistan chased the target of 129 in only 15.3 overs and earned their second win in a row. Farhan’s innings was full of clean hitting, with 6 fours and 5 sixes, and this knock also made him the first Pakistani to hit 100 sixes in a T20 calendar year.

He carried the same confidence into the next T20I match against Zimbabwe. He smashed a quick 63 off 41 balls and helped Pakistan reach 195/5 in 20 overs. He now has 45 sixes in 32 T20Is so far for Pakistan to his name. Overall, Farhan has hit 197 sixes in 141 T20 matches overall.
