The Canadian Police have linked Dilpreet Bajwa's appointment as Canadian skipper with threats from Indian gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. The youngster of Indian origin was appointed the skipper of the national side at a very young age.

Lawrence Bishnoi is an Indian origin Canadian gangster who has operated in both these nations and has been in jail over several charges lodged against him, which involve all forms of crime. As per the latest reports, he can be linked to Dilpreet's appointment as the skipper of the Canadian side.

Dilpreet, the 23-year-old, was shockingly appointed the captain of the team, ignoring the presence of several senior cricketers like Nicholas Kirton, who could have been suitable for the role. Dilpreet led the Canadian side in the ICC T20 World Cup 2026.

All these allegations were made after Canada Broadcasting Corporation, the CBC, broadcast a show titled 'Corruption, Crime and Cricket' that raised several questions on the Canadian Cricket team selection, appointment of the skipper, and the administration, which has largely raised eyebrows.

The Anti-Corruption unit of Cricket Canada launched an extensive investigation into the alleged corruption and match fixing claims. As per the Canadian Crime Bureau reports, Dilpreet's appointment in itself was a massive scam as it occurred under the influence of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi.

It was revealed that the gang had threatened several administrative heads and cricketers alongside their families to make Dilpreet Bajwa the captain. The infamous gang would have done this with some objective, and it seemed that the skipper was ready to fix matches.

Large-scale corruption and match-fixing allegations have surfaced against the Canadian skipper

The Crime Bureau reports further claimed that the Canadian team has undergone several discrepancies, which include match-fixing allegations against the captain. Several organized crimes took place within the team.

The direct evidence of the incident was marked in the game between Canada and New Zealand, where they had to defend a total of 177 in front of the Kiwis. He started the game with two seamers who gave away 35 runs in the first three.

Switching to Saad Bin Zafar, he bowled a wicket maiden in the fourth over, and the fifth also turned out to be successful with the seamer striking with another breakthrough. However, the skipper Dilpreet Bajwa took the ball in the last over of the powerplay, giving away the momentum with a 15-run over and a controversial wide and no ball.

National Star left the Canadian Championship after being threatened to make Bajwa the Canadian captain

As per the Canadian Crime Bureau reports, another massive allegation has been brought against two Canadian players who might also be associated with Dilpreet Bajwa or the Bishnoi gang. The names of these players have not been revealed.

Two players have been revealed to have threatened a national Star player to make Dilpreet Bajwa the skipper of the Canadian team after winning the National Championship in 2025. After this, the player sidelined himself from national championships, citing security concerns and mental stress.
