In what comes as a sense of relief for millions of Sachin Tendulkar fans around the world, the champion batsman has been discharged from hospital after having recovered from Covid-19.

Tendulkar, who recently participated in the Road Safety World Series, has tested for the virus on March 27. The 47-year-old had taken to Twitter to announce the same post which good wishes had galore for his safe recovery.

Five days later, Sachin was admitted to the hospital as a precautionary measure. Incidentally, it was also the day when the entire nation was celebrating the tenth anniversary of India’s World Cup win.

Tendulkar, on Friday, took to his official Twitter account to announce the news of him getting discharged from the hospital. The legendary cricketer posted a heartfelt note in which he thanked his fans for their good wishes and prayers besides also expressing his gratitude towards the medical staff for the manner in which they took care of him and the way they have been tirelessly in such difficult times.

”I have just come home from the hospital and will remain isolated while continuing to rest and recuperate. I would like to thank everyone for all the good wishes and prayers. Really appreciate it,” wrote Sachin Tendulkar.

”I remain ever grateful to all the medical staff who took such good care of me and have been working tirelessly for over a year in such difficult circumstances,” he added.
