India batsman Mayank Agarwal has registered himself for the IPL 2025 mega auction at the base price of INR 1 crore. The right-handed batsman plied his trade for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the last edition of the IPL.

Even though he got a chance to open the innings early in the tournament, he soon lost his place in the playing eleven as Sunrisers Hyderabad preferred the opening combination of Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head.

In IPL 2024, Mayank played only 4 games and scored a modest 64 runs. The 33-year-old has played for five teams in the IPL so far. His journey in the competition began with Royal Challengers Bengaluru in 2011. He played three seasons for the Bengaluru-based outfit before being signed up by Delhi Capitals ahead of IPL 2014.

Mayank played three seasons for Delhi as well. In IPL 2017, he was a part of the now-defunct Rising Pune Supergiant team. From 2018 to 2022, Agarwal played for Punjab Kings before joining Sunrisers Hyderabad.

His best season with the bat in the IPL came in 2021 when he scored 441 runs. Overall, Mayank has played 127 games so far and has scored 2661 runs.
