An interesting update has come right from the United States. Ahead of the upcoming season of the Hundred league, MI London has secured the signing of the controversial Pakistani pacer Mohammad Amir.
Amir will be seen playing for MI London in the upcoming season of the franchise league. The experienced will be second after Abrar Ahmed, who is signed by an IPL-owned team.
Mohammad Amir joins The Hundred 2026 after Abrar Ahmed
Previously, during the players’ auction for the Men’s tournament, Sunrisers Leeds secured the service of the Pakistan international Abrar Ahmed. It is worth mentioning that MI London is co-owned by Surrey Cricket Club (51%) and Reliance Industries Limited (49%), through its subsidiary Reliance Strategic Business Ventures Limited.

Amir previously played for the MI London Men's during the 2024 season of the tournament. That stint with the franchise was a bit controversial as he featured only in one match before pulling himself out of the league. In that single game, he picked up a brace.
Mohammad Amir bowled well in PSL 2026
Ahead of the 2026 The Hundred, the 34-year-old was in good form with the ball during the previous edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), when he took 12 wickets in 10 matches and as many innings for the newly added team in the league, Rawalpindiz. He took those 12 scalps for an economy rate of 8.81.
However, there is no official announcement has yet been made by MI London.
MI London's squad for The Hundred 2026:
Sam Curran (£350,000), Will Jacks (£250,000), Nicholas Pooran (£175,000), Rashid Khan (£175,000), James Vince (£190,000), Tom Curran (£260,000), Trent Boult (£100,000), Nathan Sowter (£130,000), Sherfane Rutherford (£100,000), Richard Gleeson (£65,000), Ollie Pope (£31,000), Olly Stone (£50,000), Ollie Sykes (£31,000), Callum Parkinson (£31,000), Jason Roy (£31,000), Mohammad Amir.
So far, Amir has played three seasons of The Hundred. In three seasons with three different teams, the pace bowler has bagged 6 wickets in 8 matches, which is not good enough to justify his talent.
Abrar Ahmed and Usman Tariq will also feature in the 2026 The Hundred league
It will be interesting to see whether there will be any controversy on social media platforms because of the development. When the Sunrisers Leeds cashed in for the Pakistani spinner Abrar Ahmed, there were a lot of controversies across various platforms.
A part of the cricket fans wrote against Kavya Maran and the Sunrisers Leeds because of the signing. Leeds, however, remained firm on the decision and later explained why they opted to rope in Ahmed.
Usman Tariq is another Pakistani international who will be seen playing in the upcoming season of the league. Tariq has been confirmed for the league by the Birmingham Phoenix.
