MI vs KKR: Rinku Singh Is A Pocket Rocket - Jason Roy Calls Youngster A "Serious Talent"

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) batter Rinku Singh has lavished rich praise on youngster Rinku Singh. He said that the southpaw is a pocket rocket and is a serious talent as he smashes similarly in the nets as well.

Rinku Singh has emerged out to be the hero for Kolkata Knight Riders in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. The southpaw has done some staggering things in the four games the team has played and has raised the hopes of many fans.

KKR is now slated to lock horns against Mumbai Indians (MI) on Sunday (16th April) at the Wankhede stadium and it’s fair to say that Rinku Singh will be crucial for the team in the game against five-time champions.

Jason Roy, who is part of the KKR setup, called Rinku Singh a serious talent. He also was excited to see the game between MI and KKR. While speaking ahead of the game, he said:

“Got great memories at this ground, during the World Cup, and when Delhi (Capitals) came here, we beat Mumbai. It’s an incredible ground and an incredible city, so pretty excited. He (Rinku Singh) is a pocket rocket, I didn’t see that coming. He smacks it in the nets, and is a serious talent.”

MI vs KKR: “We had a good game (against SRH) as we scored 200,” says Jason Roy 

KKR suffered a narrow loss against SRH. They suffered a disappointing loss as they managed 205 runs while chasing 228 runs. Roy said that despite the loss everyone in the team is confident and pumped up. He also talked about his cricket and added:

“We had a good game (against SRH) as we scored 200, so as a batting unit everyone is pumped up and confident. It’s a big away game for us today. Just training and travelling, plenty of travel days.

“I am trying to get the most out of this trip. This year has started well for me, I have enjoyed my cricket a lot. Really happy with where I am at, the hundreds have been great, form is good, and hopefully, I get a game soon.”

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have won two out of their four games and are placed fifth on the points table.
